Reflections

This fugue is majestic, a procession of holy grace, a mystic mountain unperturbed by the foolish attempts to capture its essence with words, notes, diagrams, analyses and the like. The ultimate four-note motive from the countersubject becomes, overtime, a series of exquisite Gothic gestures that buttress the perfect arch of this most simple and utterly "composed" subject. A Buddha touches the ground with his unshakable delicate finger.
